Nice location, bad conditions
Sometimes it’s just not fair. We’re on a work trip to Lappland and during our ride here yesterday there were gorgeous conditions with the full moon at the horizon bathed in red light from the setting sun.
I was trapped in a bus then, and there was no chance for some photography. Today is free except for the evening and of course the conditions didn’t last. Clouds, grey, crap.

The first shooting this year is over.
Now heading home and looking forward to a nice and warm café latté

This is not going to work
Somehow the conditions are not right. Nothing really captured my eye.
Well, more waiting.

Off to the island....
After yesterdays little location scouting I’m off now to return to a closer and more familiar location.
The conditions are not as I was hoping for and the announced snow fall has yet to arrive. As usual I’ll to make the best of it as it’s also one of my last chances to do some photography for a few weeks.
Trying to do some more minimal images. Let’s see.
I’ll...

I has become a little silent here...
Christmas time is now over and there’s a few more days of holidays ahead of me. I have some locations and some ideas for upcoming images in mind, but so far the conditions haven’t been suitable during the last few days.
The weather forecast though promised some snow-fall during the next few days, which is actually what I’m looking for.
With any luck there will be some live...
So while Twitter is obvoiusly down this morning, I decided to try out the Tumblr feature and say good morning from here.
At the desired spot and it starts to snow. Just in time.

The forecast was wrong
The weather forecast yesterday was, say, kind of undecided.
While it promised snow, clouds and sun, looking out of the window now I see only fog. Which actually is also not so bad. I hope it’s getting a little foggier before it get’s dark again in a few hours.
I will try to make the best out of it and hope for the best to find a location which will look great in this conditions. I...

Looks good so far...
The conditions look promising so far. With any luck I’ll be off shooting soon. Just don’t know where to go to yet… MTK

Just went out....
and came back in. Weather is just horrid. Too warm, no frost just rain. Guess it’s post-processing time then.

Hoping for a frosty morning
There will be hopefully another liveblogging coming in the next few hours. The weather isn’t perfect but maybe it will do. I’m hoping to find nice frosty conditions in the forest or at the coast. Not entirely sure yet where I’m heading to.
Will keep you informed from there.

Back to the Lighthouse
Last time I had been visiting this lighthouse was around the end of summer and the light was fairly well. Now the conditions have changed (not necessarily to the better) and there’s a permanent grey card above us.
We had light, and moving clouds during the night, and I hope this continues for next few hours, as I will try to make a long-exposure of the lighthouse with lot’s of...

Wave anyone?
The demand for Wave invites has probably already gone down a bit, but if some of you are interested to try out, I just got a few more invites to give away.
If you are interested just leave a note in the comments or send me a DM via Twitter.
Update:
The demand defnitely has gone back, but I just got some more invites. So feel free do DM me or leave a comment here.

I'm surprised...
Sometimes some things surprise me. I just figured out that it’s possible to navigate through the image overlay in my galleries using the arrow keys. Sweet!
Just click on an image and start navigating! Fell free to check out for example here:

Searching for the right path
I had some time today and decided to head out to a location I spotted already last year. Three fisher-huts built into the sea. I have two ideas for the image, one would be a long (preferably very long exposure, maybe some fog would be nice also) and the other one, when everything is frozen in a snow storm.
I tried to reach the location before but there’s no way to get past this river as...
Something went wrong...
Actually I had text and a picture in my last post and the text somehow got lost. Will publish later again.

Moving the furniture
It has been very busy during the last few weeks, unfortunately not so much in a photographic way. The weather had been more than unacceptable and work is keeping me so insanely busy that I rarely had the time to go out shooting.
But still I’m not standing still….
I recently ran into the feature set of Tumblr and decided to switch over my Live-Blog to here. Tumblr has the features I...
Going live here
Okay, I just ran into Tumblr again and read about the possibility to embed the Tumblr blog into my own, which is exactly what I was looking for, as Tumblr enables me to post video, audio and more straight to my blog. So there shouldn’t be any need to go to another site to view/hear what I’m up to.
I will post some more stuff and also import my previous Live-Blog post later. Also I...

Preparing for Ii
Another live- blogging is hopefully coming up this evening. So far the weather conditions look like the ones I’m looking for, clouds with some movement and hopefully some calm water.
The other day I spotted an fishing net construction set up in the Ii-river in the city of Ii. I saw it passing by with the car and I’m not sure yet whether or not I will find a good vantage point and if I...

Getting Lost Live
The fun thing about this live-blogging is that all of you can be part of me getting lost on the way to my “plan B” location! Yay, isn’t that fun :-)
I had been there last time in winter and then with the bike. Apparently going by car led me to a diffifent road somehow. At least I think…. Or maybe not….I don’t know ;-)
Now it’s too dark anyway and...

Live From Ii
Okay, sometimes it’s just like this. You see something and have a good idea but it’s just not going to work.
I have to use a rather long focal length right now and due to the resulting compression I will get too much background also. Well, no can do.
But there’s still some time and I will try to head over to another location and hopefully have more luck there.

Live At The Lighthouse
I was surprised that the weather changed to the better in the evening and I took the chance for an spontaneous trip to the lighthouse.
Since I haven’t been here in a while I got of course lost and arrived just after sunset.
After twenty minutes of shooting everything is over and the moskitos had been busy eating me.
But now back home.
